About Combo: Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary + SkyPoint Observation Deck
SkyPoint Observation Deck on Levels 77 and 78 of the iconic Q1 building is one of the Gold Coast's most iconic experiences. At 230 metres above Surfers Paradise, it is Australia's only beachside observation deck — a distinction that gives it a visual drama that landlocked observation decks simply cannot match. To the east, the Pacific Ocean stretches to the horizon. To the west, the Gold Coast Hinterland rolls into misty mountain ranges. To the north, Brisbane's skyline is visible on a clear day. The elevator ascends in just 43 seconds. SkyPoint Bistro + Bar at the top serves food and drinks with a view. Open until 8:30 PM, SkyPoint is equally beautiful at sunrise, sunset, and after dark. Book both on Thrillark.

Insiders' Tips
For the most spectacular SkyPoint experience, visit around sunset — arriving 30–60 minutes before dusk gives you golden hour views before watching the city's neon lights ignite at night. Check the SkyPoint website for current sunset times and arrive accordingly. At Currumbin, the 8 AM lorikeet feeding is the quietest time of day and offers the best conditions for photography — the sanctuary opens for this session before general crowds arrive.
