About Belmont Park San Diego Ride & Play Pass

Belmont Park has stood on the Mission Beach boardwalk since 1925, when it opened as the Mission Beach Amusement Center. A century later it remains one of the few amusement parks in America where the rides sit directly on the sand, with the Pacific on one side and Mission Bay on the other.

The Giant Dipper is the reason most people come. Built in 1925 and carefully restored, this wooden coaster is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and still delivers a proper ride, climbing, dropping and rattling through its turns at up to 48 mph with ocean views the whole way round.

Around it sits a full line-up of modern rides. Beach Blaster swings and spins riders 67 feet above the boardwalk, Tiki Typhoon and Zero Gravity handle the stomach-turning end of things, and Overdrive bumper cars, the Speedway and Krazy Kars keep younger visitors busy. The Liberty Carousel and Tilt-A-Whirl round out the classics.

The Ride & Play Pass covers more than rides. Laser tag, the Sky Ropes course, Tiki Mini Golf, the rock wall, the laser maze and two turns on the zip line are all included on one wristband.

General admission and parking are free, so you can walk in, ride what you like and head straight onto the sand afterwards. Most visitors spend two to four hours here, often attached to a day at Mission Beach.

Book through Thrillark and secure your wristband at the best available rate, so you walk up, collect it and ride.
