About Miraikan Museum Admission Ticket
The permanent exhibition is divided into three major themed zones. Explore the Frontiers takes visitors to the outer edges of human knowledge — from a model of the International Space Station where you can experience the confined environment of life in orbit, to displays on space exploration and the extraordinary Geo-Cosmos, the centrepiece of the entire museum. This 6-metre sphere suspended in the central atrium is covered in approximately 10 million OLED panels displaying near real-time data of the living Earth — cloud systems moving across the Pacific, the aurora sweeping the poles, ocean temperatures shifting with the seasons — a genuinely awe-inspiring installation that consistently stops visitors in their tracks. Discover Your Earth explores the systems that govern our planet — climate change, environmental science, and the extraordinary interconnectedness of the natural world through interactive displays and immersive environments. Create Your Future is the most hands-on zone — robotics demonstrations, artificial intelligence experiments, biotechnology exhibits, quantum computing displays, and the Curiosity Field children's area all live here, making it the most consistently popular zone for families.
The optional Dome Theater — upgradeable with a combo ticket — screens immersive science documentary films on a full-dome 360-degree screen, providing a one-of-a-kind cinematic science experience that is particularly spectacular for astronomy and Earth science programming. Note that Miraikan will be closed for refurbishment from October 1, 2026 to April 22, 2027 — plan your visit before this closure. Book your Miraikan Museum Tokyo Admission Ticket now on Thrillark.
