About Hidden Gem Chinatown Walking Tour
Our first stop is the Charoen Chai district, where we learn about the popular joss papers, also known as fish papers, and try local snacks from the Chinese crowd. Exploring their uniqueness leads you to Baan Koa Roa Rueng, an old house turned into a museum for visitors of all descents. This engaging museum speaks volumes about Chinese architecture and style of living. Now brace yourselves to visit Wat Traimit, One of Thailand's most significant golden Buddha temples. This hidden beauty is a modest temple with sliding golden dome-like pagodas and magnificent idols. In sanctity, we further walk to the Chinatown gateway called "Odeon Circle", where we discover the Chinese shrine of Kuan Yim. One of Thailand's most serene and peaceful temples makes a wish to the Chinese deity for good fortune and prosperity in life. For a delightful ending to this evening tour, we head to Yaowarat Road to Chinatown street food market for a local dinner and return to the meeting point.
