About Park Güell Ticket
The Park Güell Admission Ticket provides access to the Monumental Zone — the main part of the park that includes the most significant works and features of Gaudí. Entry to the wider park grounds outside the restricted Monumental Zone remains free to all visitors. The ticket allows visitors to enter at their chosen time but to stay for as long as they wish after entering — making it an ideal choice for flexible, independent exploring by travellers not wishing to take part in a guided tour. Inside the Monumental Zone, the Dragon Stairway delivers the park's most celebrated moment — a monumental cascade of steps framed by ceramic sculptures and fountains, leading up to El Drac, the iridescent mosaic salamander whose colours shift from turquoise to green to gold in the sunlight. Beyond the salamander, the path leads into the Hypostyle Hall — 86 Doric columns supporting the park's famous main terrace above, where the 110-metre serpentine bench wraps around the perimeter in an unbroken wave of multicoloured trencadís mosaic, offering one of the most complete and most photographed panoramic views of the entire Barcelona skyline. Climb to the terrace above the Hypostyle Hall for sweeping views over Barcelona and the Mediterranean. The Austria Gardens below the main entrance, the stone viaducts and colonnades threading through the hillside, and the quieter upper pathways of the park reward those who take the time to explore beyond the main highlights. Park Güell has joined Barcelona 2026, World Capital of Architecture by lighting up in blue for the first time — UNESCO's colour — the entrance pavilions, the Dragon Stairway, and the Hypostyle Hall. Insiders' Tips
It can get very crowded so try to go as early as possible — the first morning time slot is consistently the most peaceful and most photogenic for the Dragon Stairway and serpentine bench. The park is located on a steep hillside — comfortable walking shoes are essential, and the climb from the bus stop to the main entrance involves significant uphill walking. Guided tours in English, Catalan, or Spanish are available — check tour times and book your place in advance.
