You'll also visit Tolmer Falls, where a lookout offers incredible views of the dramatic gorge and waterfall, home to a rare colony of bats.
The highlight of the day is Wangi Falls, Litchfield’s most famous waterfall, where a year-round cascade flows into a large natural swimming pool surrounded by tropical rainforest. Insiders' Tips
Arrive at Florence Falls as early as possible — the plunge pool is at its most magical in the morning light before the day-trippers arrive. Bring a 1.5 to 2-litre refillable water bottle as the Top End heat is intense and the waterfall walks involve more exertion than they appear. Bring a dry bag for your phone and valuables — you will want to get fully into the water at Buley Rockholes and Wangi Falls.
