About SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium Tickets
The star of the show - Pesto: No visit is complete without meeting Pesto, SEA LIFE Melbourne's globally famous resident King Penguin. Born on 31 January 2024, Pesto became a viral internet sensation during his fluffy chick phase, and has since fledged into his sleek adult feathers. You'll find him in the Penguin Playground — a world-class sub-Antarctic exhibit recreating real snow and ice — along with the rest of the King and Gentoo Penguin colony.
Thrills and wonder: Take on the Shark Walk - a glass-bottomed tunnel suspended directly above sharks and rays - and peer down at the ocean's apex predators from just centimetres away. Come face-to-face with Coowonga, Melbourne's resident saltwater crocodile, in the Croc Lair. Be mesmerised by the Mermaid Garden — a world-first 2.2-million-litre 360° walk-through oceanarium featuring corals, turtles, fish and breathtaking marine vistas.
New in 2025 - Rocky Shores: Opened in September 2025, the Rocky Shores exhibit is SEA LIFE Melbourne's most recent $2 million addition a fully reimagined rockpool zone that sweeps guests into the world of Victoria's coastal ecosystems. Meet sea stars, decorator crabs, hermit crabs, sea cucumbers and more in a hands-on, digitally enhanced environment built for all ages.
For families: Little ones will love the Happy Feet 4D Cinema (included in admission), interactive daily animal feeding sessions, keeper talks, and the touch pools in the Rocky Shores zone. The aquarium is fully accessible by stroller, wheelchair and lift, and two on-site cafés keep everyone energised throughout the day.
